PURPOSE:To image an enlarged display picture as it is in size by obtaining a magnification for a picture displayed on a display device of picture information to be imaged and enlarging the display picture in accordance with this magnification and outputting it to an imaging device. CONSTITUTION:Picture information of a designated area is enlarged and displayed on the display screen of a CRT display device 8, and its size is stored in a transverse-direction display register PXS and a longitudinal-direction display register PYS. The imaging size of an imaging device 14 is stored in transverse- direction and longitudinal-direction imaging size registers CXS and CYS. When imaging of the display picture is instructed, a controller 13 compares stored values of registers to calculate the magnification for imaging. Display picture data from a page memory 1 is read out and is transferred to a data latch circuit 9. When the controller 13 outputs a magnification signal ES to a selector 12, picture data in the circuit 9 is outputted to the device 14 as imaging data synchronously with a magnification clock EC given from the selector 12 to a P/S converting circuit 10.
