摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To facilitate the front wheel steering by constituting the captioned device so that the connection of the front and rear wheel steering mechanisms by a connecting shaft is cut-off when the anomaly of a rear wheel steering mechanism is detected, thus preventing the transmission of the rear wheel steering load which is increased by the anomaly to a front wheel steering mechanism. CONSTITUTION:In a front wheel steering mechanism 10, the revolution movement of a steering wheel 14 is converted to the reciprocative movement of relay rods 12a and 12b by a rack and pinion mechanism 11, and the right and left front wheels 16a and 16b are steered through knuckle arms 15a and 15b, etc. Further, a rear wheel steering mechanism 20 is equipped with a tie rod 25 which is moved in reciprocation in the axial direction through a connecting mechanism 40 by the revolution of a connecting shaft 24 which outputs the front wheel steering angle of the front wheel steering mechanism 10, as the revolution quantity, and rear wheels 21a and 21b are steered through knuckle arms 22a and 22b by said reciprocative movement. In this case, a clutch 30 is installed onto the connecting shaft 24, and when the anomaly of the rear wheel steering mechanism 20 is detected, the clutch 30 is cut-off-operated.</p>
