PURPOSE:To effect maintenance and inspection of a steam valve easily, by inserting a sleeve into an inner periphery of valve bodies divided in an axial direction for connecting both the valve bodies by a connection tube. CONSTITUTION:Removable sleeves 7 are inserted into inner peripheries of valve bodies 2 of an intermediate check valve I and an intercept valve III. The entire inner surface of the sleeve 7 is provided with corrosion resistant surface harden ing material 12 formed on it. Circular valve plug 16 are fixed to spindles 15 disposed at the center portions of the valve bodies 2. The sleeve 7 is also detachably inserted into an inner side of a connection tube II. The intermediate check valve I, the connection tube II and the intercept valve III are threadably attached with ring shaped gaskets 32 inserted into respective matching surfaces of them. With such an arrangement, maintenance and inspection of an steam valve is effected easily only by changing the sleeves even if the inner periphery wall of the valve body is corroded.
