PURPOSE:To enhance separation efficiency by floating an about 18l gas chamber to be connected with a duct with built-in orifice and jointing with a plate type supporting member in such a way that liquid is interconnected. CONSTITUTION:Crude oil containing gas and water is supplied from a three-way supply nozzle 4. Gravitational sedimentation separation is carred out at a gas phase 1. After passing through a mist eliminator 3, the gas phase is exhausted from a gas outlet nozzle 6. Droplets reach a liquid separation section 2, while oil is drained out of an oil outlet nozzle 7 and water out of a water outlet nozzle 8. On both sides of gas liquid face, gas chambers 9 and 10 maintaining enclosed inner pressure are provided independently of the separation system. Water columns having free surfaces are contained in the gas chambers 9 and 10. Low-pressure nitrogen gas is filled also in gas ducts 11 and 12 to prevent the surface of fluid in the gas chambers 9 and 10 from vibrating.
