PURPOSE:To shorten the processing time and improve the operation for troubles by starting accepting messages from terminal equipments after the open processing for a specific data base is performed at the start time of an online real time system and inputting and outputting the data base without performing the close processing until an indication is given on the way or the operation of the system is terminated. CONSTITUTION:After the data base whose opening is designated at the start time is found in accordance with definition information of data bases and the open processing is performed in a step 103, a business processing program is started and executed in steps 104-105 by the message reception request from a terminal equipment in a step 104. The business processing program requests a data base control program to input and output the data base, and the data base control program checks the state of the data base, and the input/ output processing is performed directly, if it is in the open state. If it is in the close state, the input/output processing is started after the open processing.
