Coating of pharmaceutically useful solids with an emulsion comprising a wax/lipid, an emulsifying agent and water, which emulsion can be spray dried to form a powder which can subsequently be dispersed in water and coated onto the surface of medicaments to form a protective, enteric and/or controlled release of drug-containing granules, pellets and tablets.
