Variable-balance sports racket equipped with a device comprising a movable element (7), which can slide along a guide element (4) between the base of the frame (3) and a place of the grip (1), and stop means (11) of the movable element interacting with stop means (10) of the guide element; racket in which the movable element (7) is connected to the grip by an elastic element (8a), and the stop means (10) and (11) interact such that, if the movable element (7) is first immobilised at a place close to the base of the frame (3) before a service or smash movement is effected, the abovementioned movable element is then automatically released by the centrifugal force to which it is subjected during the service or smash and is brought back by the return effect of the elastic element to a place nearer to the grip.
