PURPOSE:To cause a sound head to exert its original capacity and, at the same time, to smoothly run a magnetic tape so as to prevent the magnetic tape from being damaged, by providing a magnetic tape guiding pole at a location, at which the incident angles of the magnetic tape to the sound head and guide pole become prescribed values, instead of an erase head under a standing state. CONSTITUTION:A round bar-like guide pole 5 is made to stand from a fitting plate 1 instead of a dummy and incident angles theta'1 and theta'2 of a magnetic head 4 to a sound head 2 and the incident angle theta'3 to the guide pole are respectively made equal to the incident angles theta'1 and theta'2 of the magnetic tape to the sound head and the incident angle theta3 to the dummy. Since the guide pole 5 is simper than the dummy in shape, the guide pole 5 can easily be manufactured, polished, and fitted and, as a result, a sound head fitting section can be manufactured inexpensively. Moreover, since the surface of the guide pole 5 which is made to contact with the magnetic tape 4 is smaller in area than the surface of the dummy which is made to contact with the magnetic tape 4, its sliding resistance is smaller than that of the dummy and running of the magnetic tape 4 becomes smoother as compared with the case where the dummy is used and, therefore, the magnetic tape 4 is prevented from being damaged.
