PURPOSE:To improve fuel combustibility by storing a part of a mixture pressed in a combustion chamber in the cylinder of an injection equipment provided in communication with the combustion chamber in a piston, and injecting it into the combustion chamber when the piston approaches near a top dead center in a compression stroke. CONSTITUTION:As a piston 5 moves upward in a compression stroke, a projection 18 formed at a circumferential position of the piston pin 17 of a connecting rod 15 pushes up a piston rod 8 through a spring plate 11 to push the piston 7 of an injection equipment toward a combustion chamber 4. Compressed air in the combustion chamber 4 therefore flows into the cylinder 6 of the injection equipment through a groove 14 for the forced feed and injection of the fuel. When the piston 5 reaches a fixed position about a top dead center to remove thrust pressure caused by the projection 18 from the piston rod 8, the piston 7 is moved backward by differential pressure due to difference in the area of its inside and outside planes 20, 21 and the tension of a spring 25. Consequently, a mixture in the cylinder 6 is injected through the groove 14 into a flame at the beginning of combustion in the combustion chamber 4.
