PURPOSE:To manufacture an alloy member having uniform isotropy of electric conductivity and strength, by subjecting a Cu alloy ingot containing specific amounts of Cr, Ni or Co, and Sn and limited in O2 content to hot working at a specific temp., to cooling, and then to cold working with interposing heat treatment between the cold working stages. CONSTITUTION:The alloy consisting of, by weight, 0.05-0.85% Cr, 0.05-0.4% Ni or Co. 0.02-0.27% Sn, and the balance Cu or further containing <=0.15% P and limited in O2 content to <=0.005% is cast. This Cu-alloy ingot is hot- worked at >=600 deg.C and cooled down to <=450 deg.C at >=1 deg.C/sec cooling rate. After that, the above is cold-worked, while heat-treated at least once between the cold working stages. Further, it is preferable that the temp. in the first heat treatment, the cold draft before the first heat treatment, and the subsequent total cold draft are regulated to 450-650 deg.C, >=70%, and <=95%, respectively. In this way, a copper alloy for electronic equipment excellent in workability and isotropic uniformity can be obtained.
