PURPOSE:To provide a manufacturing method of an electric carpet with no discoloration of a cover cloth material due to heat, flattened pile no phenomenon, and a fewer manufacturing manhours by adopting a method in such a way that the voltage of an A.C. power source is applied to a metal foil by the use of its inner resistance and the carpet is directly heated from the inside. CONSTITUTION:A unit 6 is put on an insulator 5 as a component of an electric carpet and at the both ends of a metal foil of the unit 6, conductive square bars 20 are placed and then separate heat adhesive film sheet 19 and a cover cloth material are formed into a lamination layer. The voltage of an A.C. power source is applied to the bars 20 to make direct internal heating of the unit 6 in a moment and a heat adhesive film layer 16, the sheet 19, heating wires 1 with heat adhesive cover layers 7, and a temp. detecting wire 2 on the one side of the foil 18 are melted altogether and the cloth 4 and the insulator 5 are melted and adhered. Immediately after that, the bars 20 are removed from the unit 6 and said components are formed into one body by instantaneous pressing with a press 21.
