PURPOSE:To improve riding comfortableness and maneuvering stability, by a method wherein damping force characteristics by an electromagnetic damping valve is freely switched according to selection of a set pattern of a damping force by a driver, and optimum damping force characteristics are always provided according to a change in an operating condition. CONSTITUTION:An electromagnetic damping valve 70 is located in a flow passage through which working oil flows along with expansion or compression operation of a buffer, and a generating damping force is changed with a feed current to an electromagnetic damping valve 70. In this device, the expansion and contraction position stroke position of the buffer is detected by a means 71. According to the stroke position of the buffer, plural damping characteristics are set by a means 72, a specified pattern is arbitrarily selected from plural set patterns by a means 73. The intensity of an exciting current to the electromagnetic damping valve 70 is controlled by a means 74 so as to produce damping characteristics selected from the means 73. |
