Band, especially a paper band for a computer printer, made up of a central ribbon wound in reel form and of two edge bands, attached or otherwise. This band is characterised in that the said central ribbon 3, 33, 63 of the bands 1, 31, 61 comprises transverse notches 9, 39, 69 which are precut before printing and pass through all the layers of the said central ribbon 3, 33, 63.
