PURPOSE:To simplify the structure of a transfer part by providing a transfer device body or support mechanism integrally with a paper guide which controls the attitude of a transfer form to a latent image carrier and holds the transfer form and latent image carrier in contact when the transfer device body is arranged at a regular transfer position. CONSTITUTION:A support arm 24 is arranged at a specific position when raised toward a photosensitive drum 1 and engaging a general arcuate surface 25b, the transfer device body 20 is set at the regular transfer position, and the paper guide 30 is set at a form guide position. In this state, a high voltage is applied to a discharge wire 21 and then discharge is caused around the discharge wire 21 to perform specific transfer operation between the transfer form 3 and photosensitive drum 1. At this time, the transfer form 3 passing the transfer position is held pressed against the photosensitive drum 1 by the function of the paper guide 30, so the state of transfer to the transfer paper 3 is held extremely excellent.
