PURPOSE:To enable improvement in temperature distribution in a living space, by a method wherein a centrifugal type fan is used as a fan on the indoor side, a width direction is turned to the front of a body, a suction port is formed in a front, and blowoff openings are formed in an upper surface, both side surfaces, and in a position below the from suction port. CONSTITUTION:An indoor fan 7, used as a first fan, and a second outdoor fan 9, used as a second fan, are driven on the same shaft. A front blowoff opening 8A on the indoor side is formed long sideways, and side blowoff openings 8B and 8C and an upper surface blowoff opening 8D are formed. A cross flow fan is used as an outdoor fan 6, and a turbo fan is used as the indoor fan 7 and the second outdoor fan 9. The indoor fan 6 is decreased in length, and is assigned for draft in the lower part of an outdoor heat exchanger 3. The second outdoor fan 9 is assigned for draft in the upper part of the outdoor heat exchanger 3, and an airflow is maintained at a given value with the aid of the two fans. Since the indoor fan 7 is a turbo fan, the blowoff opening 8A is mounted in a manner to point downward in order to improve temperature distribution in a living space during heating.
