PURPOSE:To prevent a deteriorated starting property when a coarse fuel is used, by finding the fuel specific gravity from a fuel feeding amount per unit air intake amount in an air/fuel ratio feedback controlling, and correcting the fuel feeding amount in an open controlling responding to the fuel specific gravity. CONSTITUTION:To a control unit 15, are input detected values of an air flow sensor 7, a throttle valve opening sensor 9, a crank angle sensor 10, an O2 sensor 13, and the like, and the opening time of an injector 4 is feedback- controlled to make the air/fuel ratio at an object air/fuel ratio based on the detected value of the O2 sensor 13 in a specific operation condition. In this case, the fuel specific gravity is computed from the fuel feeding amount per unit air intake amount, depending on the air intake amount and the fuel feeding amount. The control unit 15 corrects the fuel feeding amount depending on the fuel specific gravity, in an open loop controlling such as a starting worm-up running, to prevent the deteriorated starting property even though the volatile rate of the fuel is changed.
