PURPOSE:To make the quality of a produce uniform and to increase the mechanical strength of a skid which is installed to the hearth of a heating furnace and is packed and hermetically closed therein with refractories by specifying the shapes and materials of the skid pipe and the refractories to be packed and coating the top surface of said pipe with a specific rail. CONSTITUTION:The skid pipe body is formed of a hollow cylindrical ceramic shape material 1. A heat resistant alloy 2 consisting of a composite material composed of a heat resistant metal and ceramics preliminarily formed to the similar shape of approximately the same size as the size of a hollow hole 3 of the shape material 1 is inserted into the hole 3. The top surface of such material 1 is coated with the skid rail 4 consisting of a heat resistant alloy or a composite material composed of said alloy and ceramics. The quality of the product is thereby made uniform and the mechanical strength is improved.
