PURPOSE:To provide an antiallergic agent containing a specific maleic acid salt as an active component. CONSTITUTION:The objective antiallergic agent is produced by using the maleic acid salt of the compound of formula as an active component. The compound has excellent antiallergic effect caused by histamin release suppressing activity and has an excellent action to prevent the release of histamin by the compound itself. It is mixed with a proper carrier or diluent and used in the form of a solid or liquid agent for oral administration such as tablet, pill, solution, suspension, emulsion, capsule, granule, powder, etc., and an injection, etc., such as sterilized solution filled in an ampule or vial and suitable for parenteral administration. Dose; 1-150mg/kg daily, preferably 10-100mg/kg daily, especially 50-60mg/kg daily.
