Novel pyrazoline derivatives of the general formula I <IMAGE> in which X and Y are identical or different and denote hydrogen, halogen, methyl, trifluoromethyl, methoxy, difluoromethoxy, 2,2-dihalocyclopropylmethoxy or 2,2,2-trifluoroethoxy and Z denotes hydrogen, halogen, C1-4-alkyl, trifluoromethyl, C1-4-alkoxy, C1-4-alkoxycarbonyl, difluoromethoxy, 2,2,2-trifluoroethoxy, 1,1,2,2-tetrafluoroethoxy, 2,2-dihalocyclopropyloxy or 2,2-dihalocyclopropylmethoxy, where Z is the 2,2-dihalocyclopropyloxy or the 2,2-dihalocyclopropylmethoxy radical, if X and Y are identical or different and denote hydrogen, halogen, methyl, trifluoromethyl, methoxy or difluoromethoxy, and processes for their preparation are described. The compounds according to the invention can be used for controlling insects.
