PURPOSE:To obtain an adhesive composition capable of bonding a thermoplastic olefinic rubber to an organic fiber firmly in a short time by a simple operation, by adding a halogenated polyolefin in a specified weight proportion to an adhesive consisting mainly of a halogenated rubber. CONSTITUTION:An adhesive consisting mainly of a halogenated rubber, such as a chlorinated rubber, a chlorosulfonated rubber or a brominated rubber, is mixed with 3-300pts.wt., based on 100pts.wt. adhesive solids, halogenated polyolefin to give an objective adhesive composition. As the halogenated polyolefin, a chlorinated polyolefin, a chlorinated polyethylene, etc., are suitably used. The obtained adhesive composition is applied to an organic fiber such as nylon fiber, which is pressed by heating against a thermoplastic olefinic rubber, thereby giving firm bonding to each other without decreasing the essential properties of the thermoplastic olefinic rubber or affecting the organic fiber.
