PURPOSE:To provide the titled compsn. which has a low heat shrinkage factor, does not cause blooming and gives products having excellent mechanical strength, consisting of a polyethylene terephthalate resin, a reinforcing filler, a metal salt of an org. carboxylic acid and a specified polyolefin resin. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. polyethylene terephthalate resin (A) having an intrinsic viscosity of 0.3 or above (in a 1:1 mixture of phenol and tetrachloroethane at 30 deg.C) is dry-blended with 20-250pts.wt. reinforcing filler (B) composed of a fibrous or particulate inorg. or org. matter such as glass fiber, mica, etc., 10-60pts.wt. polyolefin resin (C) having an average particle size of 1-20mu and a coefficient of linear expansion of 12X10<-6>cm/cm deg.C or above at room temp. to 120 deg.C and 0.05-4pts.wt. metal salt of an org. carboxylic acid (D), said metal being selected from among Group Ia and IIa metals of the periodic table (e.g., sodium stearate or potassium benzoate). The mixture is melt-kneaded. |
