PURPOSE:To shorten the axial length of a control valve, by arranging plural ports at an axially coincident position in a spool bore. CONSTITUTION:A control valve 17 comprises a spool bore 60 having eight ports 60a-60h, a spool 62 axially movably engaged with the spool bore 60, and a stepping motor. The ports 60e, 60f and 60g are arranged in such a manner that an axially coincident position is created in the spool bore 60. That is, the ports 60g, 60f and 60e are arranged on the upper right side, the lower right side and the lower left side, respectively. The ports 60g and 60f are separated by a partition wall 64, while the ports 60f and 60e are separated by a partition wall 66.
