PURPOSE:To easily perform the routine maintenance and the inspection of a simple type card processor by providing a nonvolatile storage means which stores the operating information. CONSTITUTION:When the insertion of a card is detected by a card set detection circuit 21, a CPU13 performs the transmission/reception of the balance informa tion, etc., to a host controller. Next, the CPU13, when it receives the new bal ance information, writes it on a card with a magnetic head write circuit 16, and also, stores the operating information on an operating data memory 20. The operating data stored on the memory 20 is written at an exclusive area on the card with the write circuit 16. In this way, since the operating status of the processor is written on the card itself, the operating status is easily grasped by reading it magnetically, and the maintenance and the inspection can be easily performed.
