摘要 The application area of the tethering/self-feeding/rapid-milking barn is the agricultural dairy industry. The most significant innovation is that all the cows on one side of the barn are held by a continuous, movable tethering arrangement. Said tethering arrangement permits the rest position, the feeding position and the milking position. The milking position can be effected by the farmer without difficulty and at any point in time. Furthermore, the arrangement of the milking passageway is to be specified. This is arranged such that all the udders are located in front of the milker at head level. Owing to a number, in proportion to the cows, of teat cups, all the milker still has to do is to attach the teat cups. After the milking procedure has taken place, each teat cup is automatically removed and runs, likewise automatically, to the next, unmilked cow. Consequently, the milking time is reduced quite considerably. For 80 cows the milking time is only about 30 minutes. The entire amount of work carried out in the barn is likewise reduced to a fraction of that carried out previously, this also being the case, in particular, because daily feeding of the animals is dispensed with. Damage to udders is avoided by special udder protection mats.
