PURPOSE:To simplify operation by dividing an original image into plural areas and uniformly exposing respective areas of the original image on the basis of information based upon the measurement of light irradiated to the original image. CONSTITUTION:An original image F is set up on a negative film 150 and a variable douser 200 is set up to the maximum transmissivity over the whole area to execute LATD photometry of the original image F. Then, light is transmitted only through a divided picture element 200a of the variable douser 200, the other part is set up to the minimum transmissitivity, and under said state, the transmissivity of the picture element 200a is measured by a photometric means 170 and the measured value is corrected by a correction value for the picture element 200a. Said operation is repeatedly executed to all necessary divided picture elements. In the process, both LATD and scanner photometry are completed. The photometric result of the original image F is sent to a control part in an automatic picture printing device, a printing condition is set up by the control part, a shutter is opened, and a cut filter 130 is driven to execute exposure and printing.
