<p>PURPOSE:To secure the sealing performance at the portion of a fuel discharge opening and make the assembly smaller in size by providing, between a cylindrical member and a side of the fuel discharge opening, an O ring and an annulus retaining member which holds the O ring. CONSTITUTION:The sealing performance between a fuel discharge opening 6 and a cylindrical member 7 is secured by an O ring 9 made of rubber. When the fuel discharge opening 6 and the O ring 9 are inserted into the cylindrical member 7, if the inserting pressure is increased, the O ring 9 moves downward. Hereupon, by way of providing an annulus retaining member 10 on an area from a point directly under the O ring 9 to an end 11 of the fuel pump main body, the O ring 9 prevented from moving downward, and moreover, the assembly as a whole can be made smaller in the size L than conventional ones.</p> |
