PURPOSE:To give a mutual relation to a recording paper by recording a printing indicating the relation between a preceding page and a next page on the respective pages if data is longer than the length of a designated cut paper when outputting the data of a facsimile equipment using the cut paper. CONSTITUTION:Every one page of an original fed from a transmission side, a line pointer A, as an initial condition, is set as the number (a) of all sub- scanning lines for one page of the cut paper. After the received data is decoded every one line, it is stored in an FIFO buffer and the line pointer A is subtracted. Even though the decoding is not completed, if the line pointer A=0 is obtained, the data in the FIFO buffer is replaced by a prescribed printing and the printing to the effect that there is the next page is performed. On the next page, the printing to the effect that the contents are subsequent to the preceding page.
