PURPOSE:To reduce a power consumption by starting the transmission of a burst signal when a communication requests exists so as to apply synchronization establishment. CONSTITUTION:When a communication request is fed to a master equipment A from an exchange side, for example, a start signal AC is fed to a control circuit 16, which selects a transmission burst clock generating circuit 11 from a reception burst clock generating circuit 12 and the generation circuit 11 is started. The changeover of the transmission/reception of the changeover circuit 13 is started synchronously with the burst block from the generating circuit 11 and the transmission of the burst signal SA is started. A slave equipment B generates the burst clock synchronously with a control circuit 26 to switch a changeover circuit 23 and a burst signal SB is sent. In a master equipment A, when a detection circuit 16 detects the burst signal SB from the slave equipment B, a synchronization establishment signal SY is sent to the exchanger side to attain synchronization establishment state.
