PURPOSE:To obtain an electron gun of high quality, by using a spacer provided between the first and second electrodes and an adjustable center jig which may dispose a plurality of grid electrodes coaxially on the basis of a step part abutting on said spacer. CONSTITUTION:A through hole 53 formed in G1/G2 spacer 45 has a diameter similar to that 33a1 of reference part of a center jig 33 while the hole 40a, through which an electron beam passes, of the second grid electrode 40 is formed, with a diameter similar to that 33a2 of another reference part thereof. The fifth grid electrode 37 is being pushed up by a sleeve 51 and a sleeve spring 52 while the first grid electrode 41 is being pushed up by an insert 47 and a spring 46, and on the basis of the G1/G2 spacer 45 positioned between the first grid electrode 41 and the second electrode 40 and a step part 33b formed between the diameters of 33al and 33a2, an electron gun can be assembled.
