An aerosol dispenser comprises an outer container 1, a collapsible sac of flexible material 7b within the outer container for containing the product to be dispensed, a propellant cartridge 5 within the outer container, a cap 13 carrying valve assembly 9 comprising a valve body 14 and moveable hollow stem 18, an obturator for the propellant flow path such as a flexible gasket 16 held between the valve body and the cap and actuated by said stem, the product flow path comprising a dip tube 31 extending from the valve stem through the propellant cartridge and opening into the flexible sac, and the mouth of the sac being in fluid tight engagement in the container. The sac may be made of polyethylene, unplasticised polyvinyl chloride, polyamide, rolled aluminium or plastic or plastic/metal laminate, and may surround the propellant cartridge when the mouth is secured between the container body and the cap, or in sequence therewith when the mouth is secured to the dip tube. An obturator for the product path may be provided, and by extending the valve stem as a sleeve for part of the length of the propellant cartridge the dispenser may be made to operate in any position.</p> |
