PURPOSE:To exactly maintain the position in one part of a member to be reinforced and to make inexpensive and efficient fiber reinforcement by hermetically sealing of a fiber molding consisting of reinforcing fibers with metallic foil in a reduced pressure state, disposing the fiber molding in a casting mold and pouring a molten metal into the casting mold. CONSTITUTION:An inorg. binder is mixed with alumina-silica short fibers to form the fiber molding 1. The fiber molding 1 is enclosed with the pure Al foil 2 formed to a cylindrical shape and a vinyl chloride is coated to the mating faces 2a of the inside and outside surfaces at the end of the Al foil 2. A polyvinyl chloride pipe 3 is connected to part of the mating faces 2a and the other mating face 2a part is welded. Air in the molding 1 is discharged and evacuated through the pipe 3 and the mating face 2a part is welded to hermetically seal the molding. The hermetically sealed molding is disposed to the place to be partially reinforced in such a manner that the welded part is held in place between the core 4 and the butt surfaces of the casting molds 5, 6. The molten metal 7 is poured into the casting mold and the product is obtd.
