Headings E1A and E1S. to A jig for aligning a floor panel 10 relative to one or more wall panels 11 to be joined thereto in the manufacture of L- or U-shaped "room" components comprises an arrangement of jacks 12 and associated stops 13a, 13b for vertically positioning the floor panel 11, opposed clamp and abutment stop means for horizontally adjusting the panel 11, see Fig. 2, (not shown), and a vertical frame 16 slidably mounted on tracks 17 for bringing the wall panel 11 into register therewith. The panel 11 is held in the frame 16 by clamps 20 and stops 19 and is vertically and horizontally adjusted relative thereto by a further series of clamps such as 21, 22, 23.
