PREPARATION PROCESS FO ISOBUTYLENE BY CATALYTIC DEHYDROGENATION

摘要

Isobutylene is prepd. by catalytic dehydrogenation of isobutane. Isobutane is dehydrogenated by contact with chromealuminium catalyst. Isobutylene is seperated from the unreacted isobutane and then the unreacted isobutane is recycled. The supplied isobutane is diluted with 3-7wt% of n-butane. The dehydrogenation heat which is required for this reaction is equal to the heat sum of combustion heat of coke and other heat source so that the net heat balance is zero.
