PURPOSE:To continuously supply an electrolytic solution at constant head pressure, by enabling the overflow of the electrolytic solution and the draining of the surplus electrolytic solution for every cell block, and circulating the electrolytic solution. CONSTITUTION:An electrolytic solution 10 to be supplied enters into a head pressure control vessel 13 and flows through an electrolytic solution supply port 1 and an inlet passage 3 so that the electrolytic solution fills the reservoirs 5 of several fuel cells constituting a cell block 7. The electrolytic solution 10 reaching the reservoirs 5 permeates into matrices 6. Meanwhile, the electrolytic solution 10 is continuously sent to the head pressure control vessel 13 so that when the solution has reached the uppermost cell of the cell block 7, the solution flows down to the head pressure control vessel 13 of a lower cell block 7 through an overflow pipe 14. The electrolytic solution 10 supplied to each cell block is kept at constant head pressure or below by the overflow pipe of the head pressure control vessel. The electrolytic solution is thus supplied constinuously at the constant head pressure. |
