<p>PURPOSE:To obtain insulin useful as a remedy for diabetes industially advantageously, by eliminating a protecting group of human insulin having protecting groups at specific positions. CONSTITUTION:Protecting groups of human insulin wherein threonine at the 30-position of chain B has a protecting group in the carboxyl group and may contain a protecting group in the hydroxy group are eliminated, by treatment with trifluoroacetic acid in the presence of a cationic scavenger, to give the aimed human insulin.</p> |
