PURPOSE:To obtain a safe and comfortable seatbelt by connecting a flexible string connected to the opposite ends of a belt to a piston shaft movable freely up and down. CONSTITUTION:A piston 3 is fixed movably up and down to a cylinder 1 secured to the body side and a piston shaft 4 is arranged. Said piston shaft 4 is connected with a flexible string 11 connected to the opposite ends of a belt 7. Since slight motion of a person 13 applied with a seatbelt will never cause tension of the belt 7 because of expansion/contraction of the flexible string 11 and up/down motion of the piston shaft 4, it will never cause discomfort onto the person applied with the seatbelt 13. In case of a collision, the air in the cylinder 1 will provide shock-absorbing function responsive to the strength of impact, thereby it will never cause pain onto the person 13. |
