PURPOSE:To ensure cooling function during the time for dead soak when an internal combustion engine has been suspended by operating a fuel pump only when the temperature of a throttle body is identical to a predetermined value or more in case of normal engine suspension. CONSTITUTION:A main relay 22 is turned on for energizing an ECU 11 as an ignition switch 21 is turned on. Upon receiving a startig signal a fuel pump relay 8 is turned on so as to feed fuel to an engine from an injector 3. On the other hand, when the engine has been suspended, after various conditions are checked, temperature is measured. And in case of normal engine suspension, the temperature in proximity to the ECU 11 is detected by an intake air sensor 14. Then fuel is circulated for cooling a throttle body 2 and the ECU 1 with a fuel pump 7 operated when the detected temperature is identical to a standard value or more. Then the main relay 22 is turned off after a certain period of time has elapsed.
