In a folding box, opposite side walls are provided with connecting flaps which are connected to the adjacent side walls. The connecting flaps are extended by support flaps which are supported on the bottom wall. In order to prevent the support flaps from yielding when the folding box is loaded, projections or cutouts are to be provided on the bottom wall, which engage behind the support flaps. Furthermore, the support flaps can be reinforced to increase the strength of the folding box. <IMAGE>
