At the die head (12) of the cooking extruder a filling tube (42) is arranged, which is conducted by its leading end between shaping rolls (66 68). These rolls serve both as counter-bearings and to transmit a force to the filling tube, which then acts as a lever to deform the hollow mandrel (22) so that at the discharge end of the die head different wall strengths may be set for the shell.
