<p>A document feed device comprises a frame (1), a feed tray (2), a receiving tray (3), a transparent platten (5) positioned at an exposure station on a photocopier and includes a photocell (45) to control movement of the document from the photocopier and a transport belt (6) over the transparent platten (5), characterised by a first document feed roller (28) arranged to feed a document to be copied to a second feed roller (29) with a skid plate (33) pressing the document to the second feed roller (29), counter feed wheels (37, 38) to counter forward movement of more than one document at a time and a register gate (47) urged into a position to engage the leading edge of the document to stop movement of the document on the transparent platten (5) when an exposure is to occur.</p> |
