PURPOSE:To eliminate the laboriousness of displaying an interruption mode and to improve reliability by prohibiting the operation of a display means during the time except copying. CONSTITUTION:This copying machine is so constituted that an interruption mode is set upon ending of part of the copying executed when there is an instruction for the interruption mode by an interruption input means. There is, therefore, no transfer paper on a tray 306 for staple and a both-faces tray 124. Judgement is made whether the time when an interruption key is pushed down is under copying or not. The interruption key is accepted if the copying is under execution. The case of an RDF mode is the mode when copies are taken by each sheet and therefore, the interruption mode is started at the point of the time when part thereof ends. The copying ends on the spot at the mode except the RDF mode and the interruption mode is started at the point of the time when the transfer paper is discharged. The interruption display is made and the selection of the mode is waited in the interruption mode. Copying is made infeasible if the selected mode is the RDF or ADF mode. The interruption copying is permitted if the SADF mode is a pressure plate mode. |
