PURPOSE:To prevent the overflow of a processing soln. by external oscillation or the movement of internal members as well as the contamination in a device and the mixing of the processing solns. with each other by communicating auxiliary tanks with processing tanks and making the tanks vertically movable. CONSTITUTION:The inside of the auxiliary tank 48 above processing soln. CD tanks 410, 411, bleach fixer BF tank 42, and stabilizer SR tanks 43, 44 is divided internally by partition walls to chambers 480-484. The bottom holes of the respective chambers are communicated by flexible pipes with the bottom holes of the tanks 411-44. A hook 488 is first disengaged from a pawl 486 and the tank 48 is moved downward in a horizontal state by turning of arms 404, 405 in the stage of moving this device for processing photosensitive materials or attaching and detaching an inside unit. The respective solns. in the processing tanks 410-44 are then simultaneously admitted into the auxiliary tanks 410-43 by which the liquid levels are lowered. The outflow of the processing soln. from the tanks to the outside by the oscillation of the device is obviated when such state is attained. The contamination in the device and the mixing of the processing soln. are obviated as well by the above-mentioned constitution coupled with the installation of overflow devices 416, 421.
