A busbar bushing for switching installations is described, which has an insulating material hollow insulator (1) through which a busbar (4) is passed concentrically in the longitudinal direction, a gap remaining between the internal dimensions of the hollow insulator (1) and the external dimensions of the busbar (4). A socket (3) which consists of electrically conductive material and encloses the busbar (4) at a distance (A) is arranged approximately in the centre of the hollow insulator (1). A spring (6) is electrically conductively connected to the socket (3), which spring (6) bridges this distance (A) and produces a conductive connection between the socket (3) and the conductive or semiconductive surface of the busbar (4). Partial discharges in the gap between the busbar (4) and the socket (3) are thus prevented. <IMAGE>
