PURPOSE:To make effective use of a disk by forming a slider part so as to have recording and reproducing gaps respectively at both ends. CONSTITUTION:C-shaped cores 2, 3 made of the same material as the material of a slider 1 consisting of Mn-Zn or Ni-Zn ferrite are adhered by a nonmagnetic material such as glass to the right and left of the above-memtioned slider 1. The core parts 2, 3 are formed by working after adhering the two blocks by the nonmagnetic material such as glass and therefore, the formation of double gaps is easy in the case of a monolithic type core slider. The core parts 7, 8 are cut out of one block and are adhered and fixed by the glass, etc., to the integral structure, then the block is separated to two cores by cutting in the stage of working after adhering in the case of forming the double gaps to a composite type core slider. As a result, the variance in the gap depth and spacing of the right and left cores is governed by the working accuracy for cutting out the cores and is reduced within several mum. The effective use of a magnetic disk is thereby made possible.
