PURPOSE:To easily see picture information to be outputted by constituting a titled device with a storage means storing picture information temporarily, a conversion means converting the size of the stored picture information and an output means outputting the picture information subjected to size conversion. CONSTITUTION:A 2-diamension scanner 11 is operated to read the picture information on an original 12, it is stored in a page buffer 5 via a mask circuit 8 and a size conversion circuit 7. When picture information by one unit is stored, it is fed to a compressing/extending 6, stored again in the page buffer 5, fed to a LVR 13 via the size conversion circuit 7 and the mask circuit 8 and recorded on a cassette tape 14. A CPU 2 decides the recording position of the picture information to be recorded, generates an index information by using the said address information and a titled and an original size inputted in advance and adds them to management information and various index information in a title memory 4.
