PURPOSE:To improve the weldability, working stability and nonmagnetism by adding prescribed percentages of C, Si, Mn, P, Ni, Cr, N, S and Se. CONSTITUTION:The titled stainless steel consists of, by weight, <=0.15% C, <=1% Si, 0.5-7% Mn, <=0.035% P, 8-13% Ni, 17-23% Cr, 0.02-0.2% N, 0.005-0.06% S and/or Se, and the balance Fe. The stainless steel has high weldability, working stability and nonmagnetism and is used as a structural material for a magnetic recording device or an electronic appliance. |
