PURPOSE:To smooth the movement of a ball joint through the lowering in the sliding torque for improvement in durability, by incorporating Teflon powder in a lubricant for a ball joing composed mainly of duomin T dioleate. CONSTITUTION:A lubricant for a ball joint composed mainly of duomin T oleate is blended with about 10wt% Teflon powder having a particle size of 30mum to obtain a lubricant 14. The lubricant 14 is enclosed in the sliding face between an upper bearing 6 and a ball head portion 4 and a dust boots 11 of a ball joint 1. The lubricant containing Teflon powder incorporated therein can lower the sliding torque of a ball stud 2 by about 25% over a lubricant free from Teflon powder. |
