The spring clamp is directly fittable on to an existing safety belt, and comprises three pieces of parallel belt conductors (3,4,5) coupled at both ends by spring components (6,7). The central belt conductor is normally in a different plane to the other two. This means that the belt, with the spring clamp fitted, extends in V-form over the conductors, running on the top side of the central conductor. At least the central conductor is easily released from and reinstated in outwardly open spring loops (8) in the spring components. The spring clamp can damp the braking effect against the wearer of a vehicle seat belt. |
