PURPOSE:To facilitate the sealing by seam welding by a method wherein by means of a projection which is machined by drawing on a metal cap window frame and a sealing frame, the location of a metal cap is set. CONSTITUTION:A cap 8b which is utilized for hermetic sealing is made of kovar plate through machining by drawing, and its four sides are machined to have a mechanically drawn part 10b, and mechanically drawn depth is made to be deeper by means of it and a drawn part 11b, and a glass 9b can be maintained its strength by this consitituion. In addition machining by drawing is so performed that internal walls between drawn parts 10b and 11b and internal walls of a sealing frame 7b are fitted and the cap 8b takes proper location. By this constitution hermetic sealing by seam welding is facilitated, and furthermore the thickness of the glass can be taken to be thicker, and it is made to be mcchanically stronger. |
