A pyranoindolizine derivative represented by the following general formula (I):<!-- EPO <DP n="2"> --><Chemistry id="chema01" num="0001"><Image id="ia01" he="41" wi="114" file="IMGA0001.TIF" imgContent="chem" imgFormat="TIFF" inline="no" /></Chemistry>wherein R means a hydrogen atom or hydroxyl group and Q denotes
<Chemistry id="chema02" num="0002"><Image id="ia02" he="23" wi="73" file="IMGA0002.TIF" imgContent="chem" imgFormat="TIFF" inline="no" /></Chemistry>with a proviso that Q is other than C=O when R is a hydrogen atom. Its preparation process is also described.
